Senior Reactive Java and Spring Boot Engineer

Role Overview BNP Paribas is seeking an experienced Senior Reactive Java and Spring Boot Engineer to join the Tribe Core Capabilities team under BNP Paribas Cardif. This is a backend-focused role that requires strong expertise in Spring Boot 4.0, Java 25, and Reactive Programming using WebFlux. The selected candidate will be embedded in an agile squad, working under a tech lead and in close coordination with QA engineers to build a robust service layer that connects with a SaaS offering solution of BNP Paribas IT Group, meeting the highest standards of performance, stability, resilience, code quality, and security. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, test, and deploy Java-based applications on cloud platforms - Develop high-quality, scalable, and secure software applications using Java and Spring framework - Participate in code reviews and ensure the codebase is maintainable, efficient, and aligned with industry best practices - Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams - Develop and maintain technical documentation including design documents, API contracts, user manuals, and release notes - Maintain and manage DevOps pipelines in collaboration with iOps and DevOps teams for smooth deployment and operations - Collaborate with the squad to identify, prioritize, and deliver on project requirements - Actively participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives Required Qualifications - Strong proficiency in Java programming language including Java 17 and above - Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Spring WebFlux for reactive application development - Experience with containerization using Docker and deployment on Kubernetes - Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Argo CD, and Jenkins - Knowledge of cloud DevOps tools, shell scripting, and Linux environments - Experience with REST APIs and legacy SOAP APIs - Strong problem-solving and debugging skills for complex technical challenges - Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering or technology discipline - Good communication skills in English; knowledge of French or Portuguese is an added advantage Why Join Us BNP Paribas India Solutions, established in 2005, is a globally recognized delivery center with over 10,000 employees across Bengaluru, Chennai, and Mumbai, offering an inclusive, diverse, and innovation-driven work culture.
