Senior Manager - Energy Auditor

Role Overview Johnson Controls is a globally recognised leader in thermal management, energy efficiency, decarbonisation, and mission-critical building systems. With over 140 years of industry excellence, the company is seeking a Senior Manager - Energy Auditor to join their India team, based in Chennai or Bangalore. This is a high-impact role for a certified energy audit professional ready to drive measurable outcomes for clients across sectors including data centres, healthcare, pharma, and advanced manufacturing. Key Responsibilities - Conduct ASHRAE Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 energy audits to identify and develop Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) - Benchmark building and mechanical systems using BEE, ASHRAE, and other recognised rating frameworks - Gather, analyse, and interpret field data to prepare comprehensive audit reports and present findings to client stakeholders - Identify opportunities for HVAC system optimisation, controls improvements, equipment performance analysis, and other system upgrades - Use measurement instruments such as flow meters, power analysers, temperature and RH meters, psychrometers, and lux meters - Execute Measurement and Verification (M&V) activities to validate energy savings post-implementation - Collaborate with the sales team to qualify prospects, conduct investment-grade audits, and develop ROI-focused proposals - Meet with customers to identify retrofit and expansion opportunities and support business development efforts Required Qualifications - Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline - Certification as a BEE Accredited Energy Auditor, LEED AP, or CMVP preferred - 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in energy auditing and conservation - Strong market connect with customers and a track record of client-facing project delivery - Willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits as required - Positive attitude, strong analytical skills, and ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment Why Join Us Johnson Controls offers a world-class platform to work on meaningful energy transition projects that directly reduce carbon emissions for leading organisations. - ASHRAE Level 1, 2, and 3 audit expertise - BEE, LEED AP, or CMVP certification preferred - 5 to 10 years of energy audit experience - Proficiency with flow meters, power analysers, lux meters, and psychrometers - Knowledge of Measurement and Verification (M&V) protocols - HVAC system optimisation and performance analysis skills - Strong report writing and stakeholder presentation skills - BE or Diploma in Engineering - Willingness to travel across India for site visits
