Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer

Role Overview Virtusa is looking for a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer with over 6 years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, and platform engineering. You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available cloud environments that power business-critical applications and data platforms. This is a full-time opportunity based in Chennai for professionals with deep expertise in cloud-native technologies, Infrastructure as Code, and modern DevOps practices. Key Responsibilities - Design, build, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS to support enterprise-grade applications - Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent tools - Implement and continuously optimise CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps - Deploy and manage containerised workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm - Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployments at scale - Monitor system health and performance using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, or Splunk - Troubleshoot production incidents, conduct root-cause analysis, and apply preventive measures - Support disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, and high-availability architecture design - Drive continuous improvement initiatives across cloud platforms and deployment workflows Required Qualifications - 6 or more years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering - Strong practical experience with AWS cloud services and cloud networking concepts - Expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies - Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration - Proficiency in CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps - Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell - Solid Linux administration skills - Familiarity with IAM, secrets management, and security best practices - Experience with Git version control and Agile or Scrum delivery methodologies Why Join Us Virtusa offers a dynamic environment where you can work on cutting-edge cloud technologies and make a meaningful impact on large-scale digital transformation programmes.
