DevOps Developer

Role Overview Virtusa is looking for a skilled DevOps Developer to join its engineering team in Chennai. This is a full-time opportunity for a professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and brings hands-on expertise in CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, and cloud infrastructure. You will play a key role in delivering robust, scalable, and secure applications from development all the way through to production. Key Responsibilities - Own end-to-end delivery of assigned features from the development phase through to production deployment - Perform feasibility analysis, effort estimation, and contribute to IT planning and risk assessment activities - Analyse complex technical and business problems and propose practical, effective solutions - Ensure application security, performance optimisation, and drive post-implementation improvements - Collaborate with business users and cross-functional teams to resolve issues and enhance application functionality - Drive adherence to development standards, coding best practices, and quality guidelines - Recommend and implement UI and UX performance enhancements - Act as a subject matter expert for team members and stakeholders while working independently with minimal supervision Required Qualifications - Proven experience working with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and containerised platforms - Proficiency in Python as a primary programming language - Hands-on experience with Tekton, Harness, or similar CI/CD tooling - Strong understanding of Docker and container orchestration using Kubernetes - Experience with at least one major cloud provider such as OpenShift or AWS - Expertise in Git and related platforms, with GitHub preferred - Familiarity with Linux or Unix operating systems - Basic understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and load balancing - Ability to collaborate effectively with global development teams - Experience in the Financial Services industry is a strong advantage Why Join Us Virtusa is a global technology services company known for its engineering-first culture and commitment to innovation.
