SAP FICO Senior Consultant

Role Overview EY is looking for a Senior SAP FICO Consultant to join its Global Delivery Services team in Chennai. This is a full-time opportunity within the IT Advisory Services practice where you will work on end-to-end SAP implementation projects for clients across the globe. You will be part of a diverse, high-performing team that supports EY's growth agenda across more than 150 countries. Key Responsibilities - Work as an active team member across multiple phases of SAP implementation, rollout, support, and upgrade projects - Coordinate and communicate effectively with onsite project coordinators and client stakeholders - Complete assigned deliverables on time and provide regular status updates to project leads and managers - Support decision-making, process optimisation, and resource management as required during project execution - Allocate tasks to team members, ensure they have the tools and support needed, and evaluate performance against organisational goals - Contribute expertise in SAP FI modules including New General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Bank Accounting, and Asset Accounting - Handle SAP Controlling areas such as Cost Element Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, CO-PA, and Product Costing - Manage SAP Finance taxation, withholding taxes, closing activities, validations, substitutions, and reporting - Support FI integration with MM, SD, HR, and PS modules Required Qualifications - CA, ICWA (ICMA), or MBA in Finance from a reputed institution - 3 to 7 years of hands-on SAP FICO experience covering end-to-end implementations, rollouts, and enhancements - Strong knowledge of SAP BPC Consolidation, Special Purpose Ledger, SOX compliance, and US GAAP - Familiarity with Report Painter, Report Writer, and various SAP User Exits - Experience with SAP Simple Finance including GL Accounting and Asset Accounting under S/4HANA - Exposure to FIORI Apps, BO-DS, BW, and HANA reporting tools is a strong advantage - Prior client-facing consulting experience preferred - SAP Finance or Controlling Certification is an added advantage - Excellent business communication skills Why Join Us EY offers a globally connected, inclusive work culture where continuous learning and professional growth are central to the employee experience. - CA / ICWA (ICMA) / MBA Finance from a reputed institution - 3 to 7 years of SAP FICO experience in end-to-end implementation and support - Expertise in SAP FI modules: New GL, Accounts Payable, Bank Accounting, Asset Accounting - Knowledge of SAP CO modules: Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, CO-PA, Product Costing - Hands-on experience with SAP Taxation, Withholding Tax, and Closing Activities - Understanding of FI integration with MM, SD, HR, and PS - Knowledge of SAP BPC Consolidation, Special Purpose Ledger, SOX, and US GAAP - Familiarity with Report Painter and Report Writer - Experience with FIORI Apps, BO-DS, BW, and HANA tools preferred - Prior client-facing consulting experience preferred - SAP Finance or Controlling Certification is a plus - Strong business communication and coordination skills
