SAP FICO Senior Consultant

Role Overview EY is looking for a skilled SAP FICO Senior Consultant to join its Global Delivery Services team in Chennai. You will be part of the IT Advisory Services practice, contributing to SAP implementation projects for clients across the globe. Key Responsibilities - Work as an active team member across multiple phases of SAP implementation, rollout, support, and enhancement projects - Liaise and communicate effectively with onsite coordinators and project stakeholders - Complete assigned deliverables within timelines and provide regular status updates to project leads and managers - Support decision-making, process optimisation, and resource allocation as required for successful task execution - Supervise and guide team members, ensuring they have the tools and support needed to meet organisational goals Required Qualifications - CA, ICWA (ICMA), or MBA in Finance from a reputed institution with 3 to 7 years of SAP-relevant experience - Hands-on experience in end-to-end SAP FI and CO modules including New General Ledger, Profit Center Accounting, Accounts Payable, Bank Accounting, Asset Accounting, and Controlling - Working knowledge of SAP BPC Consolidation, Special Purpose Ledger, SOX, US GAAP, Report Painter, Report Writer, and various user exits - Familiarity with SAP Simple Finance covering GL Accounting, Asset Accounting, Overhead Cost Controlling, and Profitability Analysis - Experience with FI integration with MM, SD, HR, and PS modules - Knowledge of CO-PA and Product Costing including planning and cost object controlling - Exposure to SAP FIORI Apps, BO-DS, BW, HANA, and other reporting tools is an advantage - SAP Finance or Controlling Certification is a plus - Excellent written and verbal business communication skills Why Join Us EY offers a world-class environment where continuous learning, inclusive culture, and career growth are at the forefront of everything they do. - CA / ICWA (ICMA) / MBA Finance with 3 to 7 years of SAP experience - Strong expertise in SAP FI modules including GL, AP, Bank Accounting, and Asset Accounting - Proficiency in SAP CO modules including Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, and CO-PA - Knowledge of SAP BPC Consolidation, Special Purpose Ledger, SOX, and US GAAP - Experience with Report Painter, Report Writer, and various SAP exits - Exposure to SAP Simple Finance, FIORI Apps, BO-DS, BW, and HANA - FI integration experience with MM, SD, HR, and PS - Prior client-facing consulting experience preferred - SAP Finance or Controlling Certification is a plus - Excellent business communication skills
