Record to Report Process Expert

Role Overview Capgemini is looking for a skilled Record to Report Process Expert to join its finance operations team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will function as a Lead Accountant within the General Mills accounting ONE TEAM, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. You will act as a critical bridge between accounting preparers and the Accounting Manager, bringing strong technical expertise and a proactive approach to financial controls and compliance. Key Responsibilities - Review and independently approve medium to high-risk journal entries, accounting transactions, and reconciliations in line with applicable accounting standards and General Mills policies - Own and execute SOX-relevant controls and operational controls to ensure confidence in financial outputs - Apply strong analytical skills to interpret financial data, investigate variances, and uphold the integrity of financial information - Identify control gaps and deficiencies, escalate findings, and collaborate with the Accounting Manager to develop and implement remediation plans - Facilitate clear communication between accounting preparers and the Controllership team on accounting treatments, policies, and reporting requirements - Coach and guide junior accountants, helping them understand the reasoning behind accounting decisions and building team capability Required Qualifications - Solid understanding and hands-on application of financial accounting principles and practices - Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail - Excellent communication skills across all levels of the accounting team - Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a result-oriented manner - Strong knowledge of financial statement components with the ability to trace issues to the transaction level - Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools - Working knowledge of SAP, Hyperion HFM, Blackline, and OneStream is a distinct advantage Why Join Us Capgemini offers a flexible and collaborative work environment that supports your career growth through diverse programs and opportunities across a global network of over 420,000 professionals.
