Project Manager - Agile Scrum Master

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with deep Agile expertise to join our Chennai team and lead high-performing distributed squads. This is a full-time opportunity for a seasoned professional who thrives in collaborative, fast-paced IT delivery environments. Key Responsibilities - Lead Agile squads by enforcing scrum principles, best practices, and measurable KPIs across project delivery cycles - Collaborate closely with Product Owners and sponsors to drive prioritization, release planning, sprint estimations, and timely delivery of project milestones - Monitor and surface schedule risks proactively while maintaining transparent communication through burndown charts, status reports, and risk logs - Ensure backlog coherence, team commitment, and adherence to WMIS governance standards throughout the project lifecycle - Facilitate decision-making sessions, resolve conflicts, and foster a psychologically safe environment for the scrum team - Coach squads on Agile maturity and contribute to the broader scrum master chapter by sharing knowledge and community best practices - Engage in discovery sessions with customers and stakeholders to align delivery with business objectives Required Qualifications - 10 or more years of experience working with large distributed IT teams practicing Agile principles - Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience as a Scrum Master, preferably on client-facing web or mobile application projects - Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification is mandatory - Strong critical thinking, problem-solving aptitude, and excellent written and verbal communication skills - Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline - Exposure to DevOps, DevSecOps, or certifications such as Prince2, PMP, or PMI-ACP is an added advantage - Domain knowledge in Internet Banking, Digital Asset Management, Wealth Management, or Private Banking is a plus Why Join Us At CGI, every team member is treated as a partner and owner from day one, giving you a direct stake in the company's collective success and strategic direction. - 10+ years experience with large distributed Agile IT teams - 7+ years as a certified Scrum Master - Proficiency in project planning, release management, and sprint execution - Strong understanding of Agile and scrum frameworks - Experience with burndown charts, KPI tracking, and risk reporting - Excellent facilitation, communication, and conflict resolution skills - Ability to coach teams and drive Agile maturity - DevOps or DevSecOps exposure preferred - PMP, Prince2, or PMI-ACP certification is an advantage - Banking or wealth management domain knowledge is a plus
