Product Development Engineer - PLM Solutions

Role Overview Grundfos is looking for a skilled Product Development Engineer to join its GPLM and Data Quality Assurance team in Chennai. In this role, you will design, develop, and optimise Product Lifecycle Management solutions that help engineering teams work faster and collaborate effectively across the organisation. You will play a central part in driving the digital transformation of data management processes that support sustainable water solutions. Key Responsibilities - Configure, customise, and maintain PLM platform capabilities to support data management workflows and digital thread initiatives - Manage data quality assurance by analysing the completeness and correctness of product data and providing ongoing monitoring - Provide process input and validation support for AI creation and enrichment activities - Collaborate with GPLM domains, R and D, manufacturing, and IT stakeholders to translate business requirements into practical PLM solutions - Develop and implement data models, data products, workflows, and integrations between PLM and adjacent enterprise systems such as ERP and CAD platforms - Troubleshoot PLM system issues and lead continuous improvement initiatives Required Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline - Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with PLM platforms such as 3DX, Teamcenter, Windchill, or Aras - Solid understanding of product development processes, BOM management, and engineering change management - Experience with system integrations including PLM-ERP and PLM-CAD along with relevant data modelling concepts - Familiarity with scripting or programming languages such as SQL, Python, Java, or C# and platforms like Snowflake is an added advantage - Knowledge of agile methodologies and DevOps practices in enterprise system development is a plus Why Join Us Grundfos offers a people-first culture with flexible working hours, home working opportunities, annual bonuses, health insurance, and dedicated well-being programmes. - 3+ years experience with PLM platforms such as 3DX, Teamcenter, Windchill, or Aras - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science - Knowledge of BOM management and engineering change management - Experience with PLM-ERP and PLM-CAD system integrations - Understanding of data modelling concepts - Familiarity with SQL, Python, Java, C#, or Snowflake is preferred - Knowledge of agile and DevOps practices is a plus - Experience with SAP integration in a manufacturing environment is an advantage
