Performance Insights Analyst

Role Overview Barclays is looking for a Performance Insights Analyst to join its Business Banking MI and Reporting Team in Chennai. In this role, you will be responsible for building strategic dashboards, conducting deep-dive analysis for stakeholders, and supporting data-driven business decision-making. You will work at the intersection of data engineering and analytics to ensure accurate, timely reporting and continuous process improvement. Key Responsibilities - Design and maintain scalable data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes that ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and security - Build and deliver strategic dashboards and performance reports to support business and product owners - Develop processing and analysis algorithms suited to complex, high-volume data environments - Collaborate with data scientists to build and deploy machine learning models - Track performance metrics and generate actionable insights to improve business outcomes - Identify and escalate risks, embed new compliance procedures, and strengthen data controls - Partner with cross-functional teams and serve as a key contact for stakeholders outside the immediate function Required Qualifications - Hands-on experience with Databricks, Snowflake, PySpark, or Python - Strong SQL skills with the ability to handle complex queries and large datasets - Solid data analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail - Experience with reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI is highly valued - In-depth understanding of data architecture principles and best practices - Ability to lead or guide team members and communicate complex information effectively - Demonstrated alignment with risk, controls, and governance frameworks Why Join Us Barclays offers a collaborative and innovation-driven work environment where you can grow your technical expertise while contributing to meaningful business outcomes.
