Medical Billing Specialist - MRR and ROI

Role Overview Access Healthcare is looking for experienced Medical Billing professionals with a strong background in Medical Records Retrieval (MRR) and Release of Information (ROI) to join its growing team in Hyderabad. This is a full-time, work-from-office opportunity ideal for candidates who are well-versed in US healthcare documentation practices and HIPAA compliance. The role involves handling sensitive patient health information with accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to strict quality benchmarks. Key Responsibilities - Review and validate authorization forms to confirm legal and regulatory compliance before processing requests - Retrieve medical records from EMR and EHR systems, paper charts, and legacy platforms based on request type - Ensure accurate and appropriate disclosure of Protected Health Information (PHI) for patients, attorneys, insurance companies, auditors, and government agencies - Apply necessary redactions to medical records in line with HIPAA and organizational policies - Maintain complete confidentiality and data security throughout all stages of record handling - Meet defined productivity targets, turnaround time (TAT) standards, and quality benchmarks consistently - Communicate professionally with internal teams, healthcare providers, legal representatives, and payers - Document all actions taken and maintain comprehensive audit trails for compliance and reporting purposes - Support internal and external quality audits and resolve any errors or discrepancies in a timely manner Required Qualifications - Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in ROI (Release of Information) and MRR (Medical Records Retrieval) - Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations and US healthcare documentation standards - Familiarity with EMR and EHR systems and medical record management processes - Good typing speed and strong written and verbal communication skills - Any graduate degree from a recognized university Why Join Us Access Healthcare offers a structured work environment with two-way cab facility and virtual interview convenience, making it a great opportunity to build a long-term career in healthcare information management.
