Material Availability Analyst

Role Overview Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Material Availability Analyst to join our Supply Chain and Logistics team in Bengaluru East. You will serve as the primary focal point for external suppliers, coordinating shipments to minimize past due delivery schedules. In this role, you will focus on inventory management, logistics coordination, and supplier relations to ensure seamless manufacturing support. Key Responsibilities - Review and act on supplier schedule releases to ensure on-time shipments. - Coordinate with global purchasing buyers and logistics analysts to resolve parts availability issues. - Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent excess material within the distribution network. - Execute Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) workflows using real-time inventory software. - Build, monitor, and maintain collaborative partnerships with external material suppliers. - Document information flow and identify logistics process improvement opportunities. Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field. - 1 to 2 years of professional experience in supply chain operations or logistics. - Solid understanding of Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) and inventory management. - Experience working with manufacturing databases, inventory software, and supplier management. - Excellent communication, collaboration, and detail-oriented problem-solving skills.
