This leadership opportunity is within the LS-SWIFT Division of KLA's Global Products Group, which delivers cutting-edge patterned wafer inspection systems and macro inspection solutions used by top foundry, logic, memory, automotive, MEMS, and advanced packaging manufacturers worldwide. As Manager of Software Engineering, you will define the strategic direction of distributed image computing infrastructure and lead a talented team of engineers building next-generation hybrid CPU/GPU platforms. Key Responsibilities - Define and drive the long-term vision and technology roadmap for distributed IMC software infrastructure supporting large-scale image computing clusters - Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of software engineers and technical leaders focused on excellence and innovation - Collaborate cross-functionally with product, hardware, and algorithm teams to align infrastructure capabilities with evolving AI and image processing requirements - Oversee the design and delivery of scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems optimised for hybrid CPU/GPU workloads - Lead full lifecycle development of image computing platforms from requirements gathering through deployment and ongoing maintenance using best-in-class project management practices - Enable engineering teams by delivering robust software platforms and tools that accelerate the development, testing, and deployment of image processing and deep learning algorithms - Spearhead integration of traditional image processing and AI/deep learning techniques into a unified hybrid computing architecture leveraging modern HPC technologies Required Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline - 10 or more years of progressive experience in software engineering with a proven track record in building and scaling distributed systems - Demonstrated experience in HPC or cloud-native environments; familiarity with image processing, computer vision, or AI/ML infrastructure is highly desirable - Deep understanding of distributed computing frameworks and Linux systems programming - Proficiency in C++, Python, or other systems-level programming languages - Working knowledge of container technologies, orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes, and workflow automation tools - Familiarity with GPU computing and hybrid CPU/GPU architectures - Strong command of software development best practices including CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles - Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills - Genuine passion for mentoring engineers and cultivating technical talent Why Join Us KLA invests over 15% of its annual sales back into research and development, creating an environment where hard problems are embraced and innovation thrives every single day.
