Role Overview
Deloitte's Customer Strategy and Design team is looking for a driven and analytically sharp Consultant to join its Life Sciences Customer and Commercial Strategy practice. This role is based across Hyderabad and Bengaluru and is part of the India Offices of the US entity. You will work at the intersection of pharma, medtech, and strategic consulting, helping leading life sciences companies grow their commercial capabilities and reimagine their customer engagement models.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with life sciences clients including pharma and medtech companies to understand their strategic priorities, commercial challenges, and growth objectives
- Apply data-driven techniques such as customer segmentation, revenue leakage analysis, and competitive benchmarking to uncover actionable growth opportunities
- Conduct in-depth market research and customer journey mapping to design future-state engagement strategies and identify experience gaps
- Build and deliver future-state operating models, change management frameworks, and execution roadmaps aligned with client strategy
- Define KPIs and performance metrics to track the effectiveness of implemented strategies and report progress to stakeholders
- Lead project teams to deliver high-quality consulting outputs on time while maintaining clear communication across team members and client stakeholders
- Cultivate and sustain strong client relationships to support successful project outcomes and long-term partnerships
- Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in life sciences commercial strategy and contribute to thought leadership initiatives
Required Qualifications
- MBA from a premier institution in India or abroad
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in strategy consulting, commercial strategy, or operations within pharma or medtech environments
- Prior experience at a consulting firm, Big 4, or in a commercial strategy or operations role at a US-based biopharma or medtech company or their India captive
- Working knowledge of the commercial value chain for US life sciences companies
- Familiarity with life sciences datasets such as IQVIA LAAD, Komodo Claims, Evaluate Pharma, or DRG is a strong advantage
- Strong project management, stakeholder coordination, and communication skills

Requirements
- MBA from a premier Indian or international institution
- 2 to 3 years of experience in strategy consulting or commercial strategy for life sciences
- Background in pharma, medtech, or biopharma commercial operations
- Experience working with life sciences data platforms such as IQVIA LAAD or Komodo Claims
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to manage project delivery and coordinate with multiple stakeholders
- Knowledge of customer segmentation, market research, and competitive analysis
- Familiarity with operating model design and change management
