Lead MES Engineer - Rockwell FactoryTalk

Role Overview KLA, a global leader in electronics and semiconductor manufacturing technologies, is looking for an experienced Lead MES Engineer to join its IT team in Chennai. This role focuses on the design, development, integration, and deployment of Manufacturing Execution System solutions using Rockwell FactoryTalk ProductionCentre and Modular Framework. You will work at the intersection of manufacturing, engineering, and IT to build scalable and optimised production systems that power next-generation electronic devices. Key Responsibilities - Configure, customise, and develop MES applications in alignment with business requirements and functional specifications using Rockwell FactoryTalk ProductionCentre and Modular Framework - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess discrete manufacturing processes, conduct gap analyses, and translate production goals into actionable MES architecture - Define and implement data integration strategies connecting MES with ERP systems, PLCs, and other enterprise and shop-floor platforms to enable real-time traceability and manufacturing visibility - Lead or contribute to end-to-end MES implementation projects from initial design through deployment, coordinating with cross-functional teams including IT, engineering, and manufacturing - Ensure all solutions comply with programming standards, validation requirements, and industry regulations such as ISA-95 - Apply DevOps and CI/CD practices including Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, and GitHub to support automated build, test, and deployment pipelines Required Qualifications - Strong hands-on experience with Rockwell FactoryTalk ProductionCentre and Modular Framework - Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, ReactJS, SQL, HTML/CSS, and PNUTS - Experience developing and consuming RESTful web services - Solid understanding of ISA-95 standards and manufacturing system architectures - Experience with MES installation, upgrades, and full lifecycle support - Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience, Master's degree with 3 years, or Doctorate with 0 years of related work experience Why Join Us At KLA, you will be part of a globally recognised technology innovator that reinvests 15 percent of its revenue into research and development, giving you access to cutting-edge tools and meaningful engineering challenges.
