Java Architect

Role Overview HCLTech is seeking an experienced Java Architect to join its growing technology team in Chennai. This is a full-time, mid-senior level opportunity for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in Java-based enterprise solutions and scalable architecture design. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience in microservices, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development to drive high-impact engineering initiatives. Key Responsibilities - Design and implement scalable, high-performance Java architecture solutions aligned with business requirements - Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using the Spring Boot framework - Lead technical decision-making for Java and J2EE-based applications including JSP, Servlets, JPA, and Hibernate - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of front-end and back-end systems - Apply best practices in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous deployment workflows - Evaluate and optimize database designs across both SQL and NoSQL platforms using appropriate ORM frameworks - Mentor junior and mid-level developers and provide technical guidance across project lifecycle Required Qualifications - 10 to 13 years of hands-on experience in Java and J2EE technologies - Strong proficiency in Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture - Solid understanding of relational and non-relational databases and ORM frameworks - Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices including CI/CD methodologies - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills - Experience with AWS and cloud-native development is an added advantage - Working knowledge of Oracle DB and JSON handling preferred Why Join Us HCLTech is one of India's leading global technology companies, offering a dynamic work environment, world-class projects, and strong career growth opportunities.
