Java API Developer - RESTful Web Services and Microservices

Role Overview Wipro is hiring an experienced Java API Developer with strong expertise in RESTful Web Services and cloud-native technologies. This role involves supporting end-to-end process delivery, resolving technical escalations, and building technical capability within the production team. You will be a key contributor in a modern digital transformation environment that encourages continuous learning and reinvention. Key Responsibilities - Oversee daily transactions and review performance dashboards to ensure team targets and SLA compliance are consistently met - Handle and resolve technical escalations through systematic diagnosis and troubleshooting of client issues within agreed timelines - Document and analyze query logs to identify recurring trends and implement preventive measures - Provide step-by-step technical guidance to clients and internal teams in a professional and user-friendly manner - Escalate unresolved issues promptly to Technical Architects and Senior Engineers as per defined protocols - Mentor and guide Production Specialists to improve their technical knowledge and troubleshooting capabilities - Plan and conduct skill-gap triages and product-specific training sessions to maintain service excellence - Monitor compliance with service agreements and ensure all disclosures are communicated to clients accurately - Stay current with product updates and participate in continuous self-learning and professional development Required Qualifications - Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development - Proficiency in cloud-native solutions including Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines - Working knowledge of AWS services such as EKS, RDS, S3, Lambda, VPC, Route53, IAM, and Secrets Manager - Experience with databases including Oracle and PostgreSQL, and familiarity with MongoDB - Knowledge of Microservices architecture and API Gateway design - Hands-on experience with Kafka and familiarity with gRPC and Camunda - Familiarity with observability tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry - Experience using GitLab for DevOps and version control workflows - 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in Java API and web services development Why Join Us Wipro is an end-to-end digital transformation partner with bold ambitions and a culture that champions reinvention at every level.
