Key Responsibilities Review clinical documentation to identify interventional radiology procedures and corresponding diagnoses with precision. Assign appropriate CPT-4, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS Level II codes, and applicable modifiers for a wide range of IVR cases, including both routine and complex procedures. Investigate and resolve coding-related claim denials in accordance with payer policies and official coding guidelines. Adhere strictly to client-specific protocols and regulatory compliance standards to minimize coding errors. Collaborate actively with the Quality Assurance team to maintain and continuously improve coding accuracy benchmarks. Stay current with updates to coding regulations, payer requirements, and industry best practices. Leverage specialized coding platforms such as Excode and Image Now to manage and process coding workflows efficiently. Graduate in Life Sciences or any related discipline with 1.5 to 8 years of hands-on IVR medical coding experience In-depth knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and interventional radiology terminology and procedures Proficiency in CPT-4, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS Level II coding systems and appropriate use of modifiers Demonstrated experience handling both straightforward and complex IVR coding scenarios Professional coding certification such as CCS, CPC, CPC-H, CIC, or COC from AAPC or AHIMA is preferred Prior working experience with coding tools including Excode and Image Now Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills with the ability to meet deadlines independently
