IT Product Owner - Business Analyst (NCLC)

Role Overview EY is seeking a skilled IT Product Owner to join its global team in Chennai. In this role, you will drive efficiencies in business design, bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, and help shape strategic goals across a globally connected organisation. You will operate across both business and technical domains, engaging frequently with external vendors and managing staff to ensure timely and effective delivery. Key Responsibilities - Manage and prioritise the product backlog to align development efforts with business strategy - Translate product managers' strategies into actionable development tasks and detailed user stories - Conduct requirements gathering, process analysis, and decomposition to support business needs - Evaluate business system requests and assist in planning additions, modifications, and new system implementations - Conceive, prototype, and recommend functional IT solutions that address business challenges - Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned business units and manage stakeholder expectations - Apply Agile and Scrum methodologies in line with SDLC best practices - Oversee system troubleshooting and provide ad-hoc analyses to guide product design decisions - Identify business implications of technical solutions and suggest constructive improvements Required Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences, or a related discipline - Minimum 5 years of experience in a business or technical analyst role - Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification is mandatory - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel including complex formulas and data analysis - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills - Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of an organisation - Knowledge of the cruise industry is an added advantage Why Join Us At EY, you will be part of a globally connected powerhouse that empowers you to grow your career while contributing to a better working world. - Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification - 5+ years of experience in business or technical analysis - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field - Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills - Strong knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies - Excellent analytical and complex problem-solving abilities - Strong stakeholder management and communication skills - Experience with requirements modelling and testing tools - Ability to handle multiple areas of responsibility simultaneously
