IT Product Owner - Business Analyst NCLC

Role Overview EY is looking for a skilled IT Product Owner to join its global team in Chennai. In this role, you will drive efficiencies in business design, reduce impact on business stakeholders, and identify areas for improvement through technology-driven solutions. You will operate across both business and technical domains within a globally connected organisation, frequently collaborating with external vendors and cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities - Manage and prioritise the product backlog to align with strategic business goals - Translate product managers' strategies into actionable development tasks for technical teams - Gather requirements, perform process analysis and decomposition, and prepare detailed user stories - Review, analyse, and evaluate business system requests and user needs across global units - Conceive, prototype, and recommend functional IT solutions that address business challenges - Assist in planning and implementing additions, deletions, and modifications to active systems - Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned business units and manage stakeholder relationships - Identify business implications of technical solutions and opportunities for process improvement - Apply Software Development Life Cycle methodologies including SCRUM and Agile best practices - Oversee troubleshooting of system issues and perform testing and certification processes - Provide ad-hoc analyses to guide decision-making on product design and scope Required Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences, or a related field - Minimum 5 years of experience in a business or technical analyst role - Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification is mandatory - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel including complex formulas - Strong analytical and complex problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement solutions - Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present to diverse audiences - Proven ability to handle multiple areas of responsibility simultaneously - Experience with requirements modelling and testing tools Why Join Us EY offers a globally connected work environment where you can shape your career with confidence, supported by cutting-edge technology and a diverse, multi-disciplinary network. - Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification - 5+ years of experience in business or technical analysis - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field - Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills - Strong knowledge of SCRUM and Agile methodologies - Excellent analytical and complex problem-solving abilities - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Experience managing product backlogs and writing user stories - Ability to manage multiple responsibilities across business and technical domains - Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
