Intermediate Application Developer - Node.JS CIAM

Role Overview UPS, a Fortune Global 500 company, is looking for a skilled Intermediate Application Developer specialising in Node.JS and Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) to join its engineering team in Chennai. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain CIAM solutions using platforms such as Auth0, Okta, ForgeRock, or Ping Identity - Implement and configure authentication and authorisation flows including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, and MFA - Integrate CIAM platforms with web, mobile, and API-based applications - Customise user registration, login, password management, and consent workflows - Collaborate with security, product, and development teams to ensure compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA standards - Troubleshoot identity-related issues and support incident response activities - Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for scalability and security - Develop and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) - 4 to 7 years of experience in software development with a focus on CIAM or identity and access management - Strong knowledge of identity protocols including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, and SCIM - Proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Python for CIAM integration - Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines - Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerisation tools like Docker and Kubernetes - Experience with RESTful APIs, Webhooks, and event-driven systems - Certifications in identity management or cloud security are a plus Why Join Us At UPS, you will be part of a globally recognised organisation that values innovation, inclusion, and professional growth.
