Role Overview
S&P Global Mobility is looking for a Senior HR Specialist to manage and coordinate HR Shared Services operations across the APAC region. This India-based role supports an employee population of approximately 600 across markets including Malaysia, India, Australia, Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Thailand. The specialist will work closely with HR Business Partners, Legal, Payroll, and external partners to ensure compliant, consistent, and high-quality HR service delivery across all covered geographies.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate HR lifecycle data in Workday for all APAC employees and contractors, including statutory data requirements by country
- Oversee the quality of HR transactions processed through global shared services, payroll vendors, and external partners
- Act as the regional escalation point for HR data discrepancies, operational issues, and service quality gaps
- Develop and maintain SOPs, control frameworks, and knowledge documentation tailored to APAC requirements
- Conduct periodic HR data audits and drive continuous improvement in processes and workflows
- Serve as a senior point of contact for employees and managers on HR policy questions, HRIS issues, and procedural guidance
- Support onboarding, role transitions, offboarding, and other key HR lifecycle processes across APAC markets
- Monitor employment-related matters and ensure appropriate involvement of HRBPs and Legal for risk-sensitive issues
- Track, document, and close employment matters in a manner that supports audit readiness and trend analysis
- Produce regular HR reporting on headcount, inquiry volumes, data quality, and operational KPIs
- Partner with Shared Services and HRIS teams to identify process improvement opportunities and drive enhancements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline; advanced HR certifications are an added advantage
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in HR Shared Services, HR Operations, or multi-country HR roles within the APAC region
- Demonstrated knowledge of local labor practices, statutory compliance, and employment regulations across APAC markets
- Hands-on experience with Workday HRIS including data governance, reporting, and audit functions
- Familiarity with case management tools such as ServiceNow and shared services ticketing workflows
- Fluent English communication skills; proficiency in additional APAC languages is a strong advantage
- Strong analytical capability to translate HR data into meaningful operational insights
- Proven ability to work in complex, matrixed environments while managing priorities across multiple jurisdictions

Requirements
- 8 or more years of experience in HR Shared Services or regional HR operations covering APAC
- Proficiency with Workday HRIS for data governance, reporting, and audits
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar case management platforms
- Strong understanding of APAC employment laws, statutory benefits, and compliance requirements
- Experience working with global shared services teams, payroll vendors, and Legal partners
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to data quality
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across diverse markets and stakeholder groups
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
