Job Description

Role Overview DMart, one of India's leading retail chains, is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented HR Executive to manage end-to-end human resources operations at its Distribution Centre (DC) or Production Centre (PC). This is an excellent opportunity for MBA HR graduates and early-career HR professionals to build a strong foundation in HR generalist functions, labour law compliance, and workforce management within a fast-paced retail environment. Key Responsibilities The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing HR operations and employee relations at the assigned centre. This includes coordinating recruitment for on-roll positions with the Head Office and managing third-party (3P) vendor recruitment to ensure optimal manpower availability as directed by the DC/PC Manager. The role requires accurate and timely preparation of attendance records, which must be reviewed and approved by the Reporting Manager and Functional Manager before submission to the HO or respective vendor. For on-roll employees, the HR Executive will ensure all leave types โ€” including Loss of Pay, Privilege Leave, Compensatory Off, and Optional Holidays โ€” are properly applied and approved through the Employee Self-Service (ESS) portal. Vendor bill verification is a critical function, involving thorough checks on salary calculations, attendance data, and service margins. The candidate will also maintain mandatory registers and records as required under applicable labour laws, manage employee induction programmes, handle grievance redressal in coordination with management, and maintain both digital and physical employee databases. Supporting Labour Audits and liaising with labour officials in coordination with the HO and line managers are also key aspects of this role. Required Qualifications Postgraduate degree (MBA or PGDM) with specialisation in Human Resources or Industrial Relations is required. Familiarity with HR generalist activities, payroll processes, and grievance handling is expected. Requirements

MBA or PGDM in Human Resources or Industrial Relations (mandatory) Familiarity with HR operations and generalist HR activities Knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance is an advantage Experience or understanding of attendance and payroll management Ability to handle employee grievances with professionalism and discretion Proficiency in maintaining HR records in both digital and physical formats Good coordination and communication skills to liaise with vendors and management Male candidates only as per the employer's requirement 0 to 4 years of experience in HR operations or related functions
