Graduate Engineering Trainee - Aluminium Diecasting

Role Overview East West Lingam Pvt Ltd is looking for motivated fresh engineering graduates to join its Graduate Engineering Trainee (GET) program specialising in Aluminium Diecasting. This is a 12-month structured traineeship under the Engineering, Operations, and Manufacturing departments that prepares you for a full-time engineering career. Successful trainees will be confirmed into permanent roles based on performance and completion of the program. Key Responsibilities - Support senior engineers in designing, developing, and reviewing engineering drawings, components, and assemblies - Assist in production planning, process improvements, and daily shop-floor operations - Participate in equipment installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities - Collect and analyse technical data and prepare reports, documentation, and presentations - Learn and apply quality standards, safety norms, and standard operating procedures - Coordinate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, maintenance, procurement, and R&D - Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements using Kaizen, Lean, and 5S methodologies - Complete all assigned project rotations and learning modules within defined timelines Required Qualifications - B.E. or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant allied engineering discipline - Recent graduate with a minimum aggregate of 60 percent or 6.5 CGPA throughout academics - No active backlogs at the time of joining - Working knowledge of CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA and proficiency in MS Office - Familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials, and basic GD&T is an added advantage - Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills - Willingness to work across shifts and on the shop floor Why Join Us This traineeship offers a structured learning path with experienced mentors, real project exposure, and a competitive stipend in a safe, collaborative, and growth-oriented work environment.
