Government Reporting COE Specialist

Role Overview Koch is looking for a Government Reporting COE Specialist to join its Center of Excellence team in Bengaluru. This mid-senior level role is central to managing IRS Form 1099 and Form 1042 compliance and regulatory reporting activities across multiple Koch business entities. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, a solid foundation in tax reporting, and a collaborative mindset to work across finance, procurement, and business teams. Key Responsibilities - Support end-to-end IRS Form 1099 and Form 1042 reporting cycles - Analyze payment transactions and identify reportable items per IRS guidelines - Review and validate vendor tax documents including W-9 and W-8 forms - Coordinate with Vendor Master, Procurement, and Accounts Payable teams to resolve withholding tax and documentation discrepancies - Prepare reporting templates and ensure all submissions meet internal deadlines - Respond to vendor and stakeholder queries on tax forms, reporting status, and compliance matters - Maintain audit-ready documentation and handle sensitive tax data securely - Support internal and external audit processes related to government reporting - Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance reporting accuracy and operational efficiency Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field - Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, tax reporting, or a related finance function - Hands-on experience with IRS Form 1099 and/or Form 1042 reporting - Proficiency in ERP systems and financial data extraction - Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including reconciliation and large-volume data analysis - Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to collaborate across functions - High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under strict deadlines Why Join Us At Koch, employees are empowered to do their best work and are rewarded for individual contributions in an entrepreneurial culture that constantly challenges the status quo. - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or related discipline - 3+ years of experience in tax reporting or finance functions - Experience with IRS Form 1099 and Form 1042 reporting - Proficiency in ERP systems and financial data extraction - Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including large-volume data reconciliation - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment - Knowledge of W-8 and W-9 documentation requirements is a plus - Experience in shared services or COE environments is preferred
