EPLAN Engineer

Role Overview COPES Tech India Private Limited is hiring a skilled EPLAN Engineer with 5 to 6 years of hands-on experience in electrical design and documentation using EPLAN Electric P8. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in electrical schematics, control panel design, PLC wiring, pneumatic drawings, and industrial automation documentation. This is a full-time opportunity based in Chennai for a professional who thrives in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary engineering environment. Key Responsibilities - Prepare and develop detailed electrical schematics using EPLAN Electric P8 - Create wiring diagrams, terminal diagrams, cable schedules, BOMs, and panel layout drawings - Prepare pneumatic circuit diagrams and system documentation aligned with project specifications - Design control panels for automation systems, industrial machinery, and related equipment - Produce documentation covering PLCs, sensors, actuators, drives, motors, pneumatic components, and control circuits - Maintain and update existing electrical and pneumatic drawings in accordance with evolving project requirements - Ensure all drawings comply with customer standards, IEC standards, pneumatic standards, and internal design guidelines - Coordinate with mechanical, automation, pneumatic, and project teams to gather and verify design inputs - Support manufacturing, assembly, installation, and commissioning teams with necessary documentation - Perform thorough quality checks on electrical and pneumatic drawings prior to official release - Manage EPLAN macros, parts databases, templates, and overall project documentation Required Qualifications - 5 to 6 years of relevant experience in electrical design using EPLAN Electric P8 - Strong understanding of electrical schematics and control panel design - Hands-on experience with PLC wiring, pneumatic circuit drawings, and industrial automation documentation - Familiarity with IEC standards, customer-specific standards, and pneumatic industry standards - Ability to coordinate effectively across mechanical, automation, and project teams - Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field Why Join Us COPES Tech India Private Limited offers a dynamic work environment where engineering excellence meets innovation in industrial automation.
