Engineering Division - Vuln Identity & Data Mgmt - Vice President - Bengaluru

Role Overview Goldman Sachs is seeking a Vice President (VP) in Bengaluru to lead the Engineering Division's Vulnerability Identity and Data Management team. In this senior leadership role, you will direct the architecture, development, and scaling of systems that manage security vulnerabilities, identity metadata, and cyber risk data. You will collaborate with global technology risk, cybersecurity operations, and product engineering teams to protect the firm's critical financial assets and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities - Lead engineering teams in designing and building scalable platforms for vulnerability identity, assessment, and risk remediation tracking - Oversee the architecture of data pipelines and identity management systems to consolidate cyber risk telemetry across the enterprise - Drive strategic engineering roadmaps, aligning software delivery with technology risk policies and global compliance standards - Partner with senior stakeholders to present security posturing, risk metrics, and engineering delivery status - Mentor, guide, and develop engineering talent, promoting a culture of high-quality software craftsmanship and security awareness - Direct incident response, root-cause analyses, and mitigation strategies for critical platform issues Required Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related field - Minimum 12 years of software engineering and tech leadership experience, with significant exposure to cybersecurity or technology risk management - Strong programming expertise in Java, C++, Python, or Scala, along with deep knowledge of database design (SQL/NoSQL) - Proven experience in designing big data solutions, cloud architectures (AWS/Azure), and Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems - Outstanding leadership, team management, and stakeholder communication capabilities in a global financial environment - Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools, OWASP frameworks, and cyber threat management practices Why Join Us At Goldman Sachs, you will build systems that safeguard global capital markets and protect millions of clients. - 12+ years of experience in software engineering, cybersecurity, or data management roles - Proven track record of leading software engineering teams and directing complex systems development - Strong hands-on coding skills in Java, Python, or C++ and experience with microservices architectures - Solid understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, vulnerability management, and database structures - Excellent communication and stakeholder alignment skills in a fast-paced global setting - Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
