Asset and Wealth Management Private Finance Valuations Associate

Role Overview Goldman Sachs is looking for a skilled Valuations Associate to join the Asset and Wealth Management Private Finance team in Bengaluru. This role sits within the AWM Finance group and involves supporting the monthly and quarterly valuation process as well as contributing to budgeting activities across multiple alternative investment strategies. You will work closely with internal asset managers, external appraisers, and senior finance leadership to ensure valuation accuracy and process efficiency. Key Responsibilities - Determine and support appropriate fair market values across various investing disciplines and geographies - Prepare and maintain multi-year forecasts covering departmental revenue, balance sheet positions, and other risk metrics across multiple investment strategies - Ensure external models and third-party appraisals align with established valuation methodologies - Manage and validate internal data used for investment-level modeling and asset activity tracking - Collaborate with internal asset managers, external appraisers, and vendors to facilitate smooth valuation workflows - Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency in valuation and budgeting operations - Monitor market trends that could influence asset valuations and update forecasting assumptions accordingly - Respond to ad hoc analytical requests from senior stakeholders Required Qualifications - MBA, CFA, or CA qualification preferred with a minimum of 3 years of experience in finance - Prior experience in alternatives product valuation is highly preferred - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling - Familiarity with automation and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or database platforms is an advantage - Strong understanding of valuation methodologies for real estate, equity, and credit instruments - Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage both internal and external stakeholder relationships - Strong problem-solving ability with a proactive approach in dynamic, fast-paced environments - Demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high quality standards Why Join Us Goldman Sachs offers a globally respected platform with extensive learning, development, and career growth opportunities across its divisions.
