Data Scientist - EV Core Experience

Role Overview Ford Motor Company is hiring a Data Scientist to join the EV Core Experience team under its Global Data Insights and Analytics organization. This is a mid-senior level, full-time opportunity based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, where you will help build cloud-native AI and analytics solutions that power Ford's electric vehicle lifecycle, engineering automation, and energy management strategies. You will work at the intersection of advanced machine learning, vehicle telematics, and generative AI to drive meaningful outcomes for one of the world's leading automotive brands. Key Responsibilities - Understand complex engineering and business problems and translate them into scalable AI and ML solutions - Design and implement end-to-end AI and ML pipelines covering data ingestion, preprocessing, model training, evaluation, and production deployment - Ingest, transform, and analyze large datasets to support data product launches on Google Cloud Platform - Function as a full-stack data scientist delivering forecasting, anomaly detection, optimization, and large language model solutions - Write clean, efficient, and well-documented Python code for feature engineering and production-grade model development - Collaborate across internal and external teams to identify novel data sources and generate actionable business insights - Present and communicate analytical findings through written reports and oral presentations to diverse audiences Required Qualifications - Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline - 3 or more years of hands-on experience in AI and ML with a track record of deploying models in production environments - 2 or more years of experience working with Google Cloud Platform on production-scale solutions - 2 or more years of experience in advanced modeling, optimization, and operational research - Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and database management - Solid knowledge of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and data analysis methods - Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Why Join Us At Ford Motor Company, you will be part of a forward-thinking analytics team that is shaping the future of electric vehicles on a global scale.
