Customer Service Executive - Air Import and Air Export Operations

Role Overview Dimerco Express Group, a globally recognised freight forwarding and logistics company founded in Taiwan in 1971, is hiring a Customer Service and Operations Executive for its Chennai office. With a presence across more than 150 offices worldwide and strong operations in India spanning Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad, Dimerco offers end-to-end logistics solutions covering Air, Ocean, Multimodal Transport, Customs Brokerage, and Warehousing. This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in air import and export freight operations who are looking to grow within an international environment. Key Responsibilities - Send shipment pre-alerts and cargo arrival notices to consignees in a timely manner - Process Airline Delivery Order payments and coordinate Airline and House DO releases - Liaise with airlines, consignees, transporters, and vendors to ensure smooth cargo movement and on-time delivery - Arrange vehicle placement and monitor shipments through to final delivery - Follow up for Proof of Delivery and maintain accurate records in the operational system - Coordinate cargo surveys for damage, shortage, or discrepancy cases and process SL and EL amendments for part shipment arrivals - Generate customer invoices and update vendor costs in the ERP system (Value Plus) - Perform job closure activities and maintain complete operational documentation - Place airline bookings, create Air Waybills, and coordinate cargo handover to airlines - Ensure compliance with company procedures, customer requirements, and applicable airline regulations Required Qualifications - Prior experience in Air Import operations or freight forwarding is essential - Sound knowledge of airline documentation, Delivery Order processes, and shipment coordination - Strong communication, coordination, and follow-up skills with internal and external stakeholders - Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced logistics environment - Familiarity with ERP systems used in logistics operations is an added advantage Why Join Us At Dimerco, you will gain genuine global exposure by collaborating with international teams across Asia, North America, and Europe, while benefiting from structured training programmes and clear pathways for career advancement.
