Role Overview
KadhaiShorts is seeking a meticulous and highly organised Content Operations and Acquisition Coordinator to strengthen our Content Acquisition and Operations team in Chennai. This full-time role is ideal for professionals with a genuine passion for storytelling and content development who thrive in fast-paced digital media environments. You will serve as the operational backbone of our content pipeline, ensuring seamless coordination from script evaluation through to final content delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and update content acquisition databases, project trackers, and documentation records
- Coordinate effectively with writers, content creators, production teams, and internal stakeholders
- Read, review, and summarise scripts for internal evaluation and acquisition pipeline tracking
- Support all content acquisition activities including script submissions and pipeline management
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, reviews, presentations, and necessary follow-ups
- Track project timelines, deliverables, and milestones to ensure on-time execution
- Prepare management reports, status dashboards, and progress updates
- Assist in content planning, development initiatives, and operational workflow improvements
- Maintain accurate documentation of content rights, agreements, and acquisition records
- Monitor project risks, dependencies, and resource allocation across active projects
- Collaborate closely with creative, production, and business teams to streamline processes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Media, Mass Communication, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related discipline
- Minimum 2 years of experience in project coordination, PMO, content operations, or content acquisition roles
- Strong organisational and multitasking capabilities with excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint, and project management tools
- Strong analytical and data management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Prior exposure to OTT, digital media, or entertainment production workflows is a plus
- Familiarity with script-to-screen processes and content lifecycle management is an added advantage

Requirements
- 2 plus years in content operations, content acquisition, or project coordination

- Strong analytical and data management capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of OTT platforms, digital media, or entertainment production workflows
- Experience in script evaluation or content development is preferred
- Familiarity with content lifecycle management from acquisition to production
