Consulting Engineer

Role Overview As a Consulting Engineer at Cisco, you will be an integral part of the Customer Experience team delivering Lifecycle Services. You will combine Cisco Analytics and technical expertise to drive value, innovation, and adoption in customer networks while serving as a trusted advisor helping customers understand their infrastructure, reduce risks, and achieve business objectives. Key Responsibilities - Engage with customers to create value, drive adoption, and ensure renewals while collaborating across functional teams for unified customer experience - Provide Day-2 support on Cisco products and solutions using technical expertise, AI, automation, and strategic guidance to ensure optimal performance - Serve as a focal point for proactive problem resolution and timely support across Cisco technologies - Develop and deliver technical content, customer-facing documentation, and guidance that supports solution adoption and customer self-sufficiency - Leverage AI and automation to enhance delivery efficiency and customer outcomes while contributing to knowledge sharing and digital intellectual capital Required Qualifications - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field - Two to four years of experience in technical consulting, design, deployment, and network troubleshooting - Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols including IGP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, STP, RSTP, VTP, VSS, vPC, VDC, MSTP, LACP, VLAN, and VXLAN - Experience with Cisco routing and switching platforms such as ISR 1800/1900/2900/3900/4000 Series routers, ASR 1000, Cat 9k, 6500, 6800, and 4500 switches - Proven experience working on medium to large scale enterprise networks - CCNP certification is mandatory with CCIE desired in Routing and Switching - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to articulate technology strategy to engineers and executives Why Join Us At Cisco, you will work on revolutionizing how data and infrastructure connect and protect organizations in the AI era.
