Consulting Engineer Enterprise SDWAN SDA ACI

Role Overview As a Consulting Engineer in the Customer Experience team, you will deliver Lifecycle Services to enterprise customers by combining Cisco Analytics, technical expertise, and consulting solutions. You will act as a trusted advisor helping customers reduce network risks, drive innovation, and optimize their infrastructure to meet business objectives. This role requires self-motivation, flexibility, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while mentoring junior engineers. Key Responsibilities - Engage with customers to create value, drive adoption and renewals while collaborating across teams for unified customer experience - Provide Day-2 support on Cisco products and solutions leveraging technical expertise, AI and automation to ensure optimal performance - Develop specialized expertise in specific sectors such as Healthcare or BFSI and implement security and resilience solutions - Lead strategy and optimization of Cisco services ensuring alignment with customer business goals - Design, deploy and troubleshoot complex network solutions across medium to large scale enterprise environments - Create technical documentation and customer-facing content that supports solution adoption and drives successful outcomes Required Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related technical field - 8 or more years of hands-on experience in technical consulting, network design, deployment and troubleshooting - Expert knowledge of routing and switching protocols including OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, ISIS, STP, RSTP, VXLAN-EVPN and related technologies - Strong understanding of Cisco routing and switching platforms such as ISR, ASR, Catalyst 9k, Nexus 9k and 7k series - Proven experience with SDN technologies specifically Cisco SDWAN, SDA or ACI implementations - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to articulate technical strategy to engineers and executives Why Join Us Join Cisco's Customer Experience team where you will shape the future of enterprise networking while working with cutting-edge technologies in AI, automation and SDN. - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar technical field - 8+ years of technical consulting, design, deployment and troubleshooting experience - Expert knowledge of IGP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, ISIS, STP, RSTP, VTP, VSS, vPC, VDC, MSTP, LACP, VLAN and VXLAN-EVPN - Hands-on experience with Cisco ISR 1800/1900/2900/3900/4000 routers, ASR 1000, Cat 9k, 6500, 6800, Nexus 9k and 7k - Proven experience in Cisco SDWAN, SDA or ACI technology implementation - Installation, configuration, testing and troubleshooting expertise with Cisco enterprise routers and switches - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to influence and work in cross-functional matrix environments - Prior experience conducting customer workshops and network design preferred - CCIE certification preferred - Python, Ansible or other network automation skills preferred
