Cloud Architect AWS Migration

Role Overview Presidio is seeking a seasoned AWS Cloud and DevOps Architect to join its growing technology team in Chennai. In this role, you will serve as the primary technical authority on cloud-based engagements, working directly with clients and cross-functional teams to design and deliver robust, scalable, and secure AWS cloud solutions. You will play a pivotal part in shaping cloud strategy, mentoring engineers, and driving large-scale migration initiatives from end to end. Key Responsibilities - Design and develop cloud architecture frameworks and reusable patterns required for successful project implementation - Define and enforce architecture standards and best practices for development teams while preparing thorough technical documentation - Translate high-level cloud designs into implementable patterns that DevOps engineering teams can execute effectively - Serve as the single point of contact for all technical delivery aspects within assigned projects - Provide technical thought leadership and guidance on solution decisions, complex issues, and internal organisational initiatives - Support pre-sales teams with effort estimation, technical inputs, and client proposal preparation - Lead project management activities including work breakdown structures, sprint planning, story point estimation, and client status reporting - Mentor and upskill team members on cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and automation tools - Manage end-to-end cloud migration engagements covering Discovery, Build, and Migration phases - Conduct cloud security posture assessments and provide actionable recommendations using tools such as AWS Security Hub - Implement and optimise cloud infrastructure cost management strategies - Design and configure Datacentre-to-AWS connectivity via Site-to-Site VPN and Direct Connect Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience - 8 or more years of industry experience with strong exposure to Cloud, DevOps, and Automation - 4 or more years of hands-on experience in designing and architecting public or private cloud environments, preferably AWS - AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional certification and/or an AWS Specialty certification - Solid knowledge of core infrastructure domains including Networking, Compute, Security, Backup, and Monitoring - Proficiency in one or more Infrastructure as Code tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible - Proficiency in one or more scripting languages including Shell, Python, Ruby, Golang, or PowerShell - Expertise in one or more CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Bitbucket Pipelines - Working knowledge of cloud security tools and their practical application - Hands-on exposure to container technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS, Fargate, or EKS - Familiarity with AWS Serverless services such as Lambda and Step Functions - Understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework and its application - Strong expertise in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning and design - Experience managing large-scale cloud migrations using end-to-end migration methodology Why Join Us At Presidio, you will be part of a forward-thinking team that thrives on innovation, collaboration, and pushing the boundaries of what modern technology can achieve.
