Cloud Architect AWS

Role Overview Presidio is hiring an experienced AWS Cloud and DevOps Architect to work directly with clients and internal engineering teams to design, deploy, and manage secure cloud-based platforms. This is a senior technical role that requires deep expertise in AWS architecture, automation, and cloud best practices, with the ability to lead delivery teams and guide pre-sales efforts. Key Responsibilities - Develop cloud design patterns and architecture frameworks suited to specific project requirements - Define and enforce architecture standards for development teams and prepare comprehensive technical documentation - Translate high-level designs into actionable implementation plans for DevOps engineers - Serve as the primary technical point of contact for all delivery activities within assigned projects - Provide technical thought leadership on solution decisions, issue resolution, and organisational initiatives - Support pre-sales teams with effort estimation and technical guidance for client proposals - Manage project estimation, work breakdown structures, sprint planning, and status reporting to clients - Mentor and guide team members on cloud technologies and best practices Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience - 8 or more years of industry experience with strong exposure to Cloud, DevOps, and Automation - 4 or more years of experience designing and architecting public or private cloud solutions, preferably AWS - AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional and/or relevant AWS Specialty certification - Solid knowledge of core infrastructure domains including Networking, Compute, Security, Backup, and Monitoring - Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible - Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Python, Ruby, Golang, or PowerShell - Expertise in CI/CD tools including Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Bitbucket Pipelines - Experience with container technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS, Fargate, or EKS - Familiarity with AWS Serverless services such as Lambda and Step Functions - Knowledge of cloud security posture assessment, AWS Security Hub, and the AWS Well-Architected Framework - Experience with Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning and design - Hands-on experience with large-scale cloud migrations covering Discovery, Build, and Migration phases - Experience setting up Site-to-Site VPN and Direct Connect for Datacentre to AWS connectivity Why Join Us At Presidio, you will be part of a forward-thinking team that is redefining what is possible through AI-driven analytics, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, and next-generation infrastructure.
