Cabin Design Engineer

Role Overview Softview Infotech is looking for a skilled Cabin Design Engineer to join their team in Chennai. In this full-time on-site role, you will be responsible for designing and developing cabin components and systems that adhere to safety standards, comfort requirements, and regulatory guidelines. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to ensure seamless integration of cabin systems. Key Responsibilities - Design and develop operator cabins for heavy equipment and machinery - Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings using Creo CAD software - Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and manufacturing drawings for production use - Coordinate with cross-functional teams to incorporate design updates and revisions - Ensure all designs comply with applicable quality, safety, and regulatory standards - Support prototype development activities and implement design modifications as required - Perform design calculations and review specifications on a regular basis - Assist in preparing technical reports and maintaining design documentation standards Required Qualifications - 2 to 8 years of hands-on experience in cabin design or related mechanical design roles - Proficiency in Creo for 3D modelling, assemblies, and 2D drawing creation - Strong understanding of BOM preparation and manufacturing drawing standards - Ability to collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary engineering teams - Knowledge of safety and quality standards applicable to heavy equipment cabin design - Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Why Join Us Softview Infotech offers a dynamic work environment where engineers can work on challenging and impactful design projects.
