Business Analyst - Custody

Role Overview Altimetrik is looking for an experienced Business Analyst specialising in Custody to join their team in Chennai or Pune. This is a mid-senior level full-time opportunity suited for professionals with 8 to 12 years of domain experience in asset custody, securities servicing, and financial operations. Candidates available for immediate joining or with a notice period of up to 15 days are preferred. Key Responsibilities - Collaborate with business stakeholders across Product, Risk, and Operations to gather and define custody service requirements - Develop and maintain product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business goals, regulatory needs, and risk mitigation priorities - Ensure compliance with industry regulations including SEC, MiFID II, FATCA, and AML frameworks - Maintain and prioritise the product backlog, writing clear user stories, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria - Work cross-functionally with development, UX/UI, and operations teams to deliver compliant, user-friendly custody solutions - Present product updates and roadmap progress to internal and external stakeholders - Explore and lead initiatives leveraging blockchain, AI, and automation to improve custody workflows and operational efficiency Required Qualifications - Strong domain knowledge in asset custody, corporate actions, securities servicing, and custody regulations - Hands-on understanding of front office trade booking and execution as well as back office trade settlement and clearing - Familiarity with custody systems, APIs, system integrations, and basic SQL - Knowledge of SWIFT messages for settlement instructions (MT540-MT543), settlement confirmations (MT544-MT547), and statement of holdings (MT535-MT537) is preferred - Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and business audiences - Strong analytical thinking with the ability to use data, customer feedback, and system performance metrics for informed decision-making Why Join Us Altimetrik is a digital transformation company that empowers businesses through technology and innovation, offering a dynamic environment where your expertise directly shapes product strategy.
