Business Analyst - Custody

Role Overview Altimetrik is looking for an experienced Business Analyst with deep expertise in custody and securities servicing to join their growing team in Chennai or Pune. This is a mid-senior level full-time opportunity suited for professionals with 8 to 12 years of relevant domain experience. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams to drive product vision, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver operational excellence in custody solutions. Key Responsibilities - Collaborate with business stakeholders across Product, Risk, and Operations to gather and document custody service requirements - Develop and maintain product vision and roadmap aligned with short-term and long-term strategic business goals - Prioritize product backlog features based on business value, risk mitigation, and regulatory considerations - Write detailed user stories, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria for development teams - Ensure adherence to industry regulations including SEC, MiFID II, FATCA, and AML guidelines - Work with risk teams to identify and address operational risks within custody services - Partner with UX/UI teams to improve user experience across custody workflows - Present product updates, roadmaps, and new features to internal and external stakeholders - Explore emerging technologies such as blockchain and AI to drive innovation in custody solutions - Lead automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and workflow management Required Qualifications - 8 to 12 years of experience in business analysis with a focus on asset custody and securities servicing - Strong domain knowledge of corporate actions, securities servicing, and custody regulations - Hands-on understanding of custody settlement covering Front Office trade booking and execution and Back Office trade settlement and clearing - Familiarity with custody systems, APIs, and system integrations along with basic SQL knowledge - Knowledge of SWIFT messages including MT540-MT543 for settlement instructions, MT544-MT547 for settlement confirmations, and MT535-MT537 for statement of holdings (preferred) - Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences - Strong analytical thinking for interpreting customer feedback, system performance data, and industry trends - Immediate to 15-day notice period preferred Why Join Us Altimetrik offers a dynamic environment where innovation meets domain expertise, giving you the opportunity to shape the future of custody and digital asset solutions.
