Associate / Technical Lead - Software Development (C++ and Data Analysis)

Role Overview KLA is a globally recognised leader in semiconductor process control and electronics manufacturing technologies. The RAPID Division at KLA is the world-leading provider of reticle inspection solutions, and we are looking for a skilled software professional to join our Chennai team. In this role, you will develop and enhance inspection and data analysis software for cutting-edge mask inspection systems used in semiconductor fabrication. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain inspection software and data analytics solutions for advanced mask inspection systems - Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams including electrical, mechanical, optical, algorithm, and software engineers to define system requirements - Optimise and refactor existing C++ codebases to improve performance, scalability, and long-term reliability - Provide technical support during beta-site ramp-up phases and manage escalations from customer sites - Contribute to AI/ML model development and integration within large-dataset environments where applicable Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience, OR Master's degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience - Strong hands-on expertise in C++ programming, object-oriented design, and software design patterns - Solid background in data analysis, including statistical modelling and predictive analytics - Proficiency in Linux-based software development environments - Experience or familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and large-dataset model workflows - Familiarity with frontend UI frameworks such as Qt, Electron, or GTK - Knowledge of containerisation technologies such as Docker or Singularity - Demonstrated leadership qualities with strong teamwork and communication skills Why Join Us At KLA, you will work alongside some of the brightest minds in semiconductor technology, tackling complex real-world challenges that shape the future of electronics.
