Associate / Technical Lead - Software Development

Role Overview KLA is a global pioneer in semiconductor process control and inspection technologies, powering virtually every electronic device manufactured today. As part of the LS-SWIFT Division within KLA's Global Products Group, you will build production-grade software solutions that drive high-volume wafer inspection systems used by chipmakers across the world. This is a rare opportunity to work at the cutting edge of nanotechnology, contributing to tools that detect defects smaller than the wavelength of visible light. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain high-performance software applications using C# and/or Java for semiconductor inspection platforms - Build scalable frontend and backend systems tailored to the demands of high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environments - Own the full product development lifecycle from requirements gathering and design through development, deployment, and ongoing support - Develop deep technical expertise in LS-SWIFT inspection system software and learn key defect inspection use cases using SWIFT tools - Collaborate with global engineering teams across the US, Singapore, Germany, and India to drive cross-functional software solutions - Work closely with systems, hardware, applications, marketing, and manufacturing teams to deliver integrated product outcomes - Apply and continuously improve software engineering best practices across all development activities - Support software deployment, service operations, and customer success initiatives - Explore and apply AI-driven technologies and intelligent systems where applicable - Travel to KLA sites worldwide to support and advance cutting-edge product deployments Required Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in BE, BTech, MS, MCA, or MTech - Strong foundation in programming fundamentals with hands-on experience in C# - Experience with Java is a strong advantage - Solid understanding of software design principles and the software development lifecycle - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Proven ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional team environment Why Join Us KLA invests over 15 percent of its annual sales back into research and development, creating an environment where engineers tackle genuinely hard problems alongside the world's brightest minds.
