Associate / Technical Lead - Software Development

Role Overview KLA is a global leader in semiconductor process control technologies, powering virtually every electronic device in the world. This role is part of the Surfscan group within KLA's Global Products Group, focused on developing advanced wafer inspection and metrology software for semiconductor manufacturing. You will design, develop, and maintain large-scale software systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams across India and the USA. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, integrate, and maintain software features for large-scale semiconductor products - Work closely with multi-site teams across India and the USA as well as non-software engineering teams throughout the software product lifecycle - Analyze complex problems by performing in-depth evaluation of situational data and system factors - Ensure that detailed designs, code, and unit tests are robust, scalable, consistent, and future-proof - Identify and implement design and architectural improvements to existing software systems - Participate in requirements definition and review, providing technical assessments of the impact of any product requirement changes - Provide technical input to project estimation and planning processes - Identify, review, and help mitigate technical risks in coordination with the Technical Manager - Contribute to continuous improvement of development procedures by proposing actionable ideas and solutions Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent with 6 or more years of experience in large software systems or semiconductor products - OR Master's degree in a relevant field with 4 or more years of equivalent experience - Strong hands-on development experience on the Windows platform - Proven expertise in UML, Object-Oriented Programming, and Object-Oriented Design methodologies - Solid fundamentals in data structures and algorithms - Strong understanding of multi-threading and multicore programming concepts - Experience with STL and Boost libraries is an added advantage - Troubleshooting experience and VC++ Windows development skills are preferred - Knowledge of AWS and Web APIs is an added advantage - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team coordination skills - Quick learner with strong problem analysis and problem-solving abilities Why Join Us KLA invests more than 15 percent of its annual sales back into research and development, creating an environment where engineers work on some of the most challenging and impactful problems in the semiconductor industry. - Strong Windows platform development experience - Proficiency in UML, OOP, and OOD design methodologies - Solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms - Experience with multi-threading and multicore programming - Familiarity with STL and Boost libraries - VC++ development experience preferred - Troubleshooting and debugging skills - Knowledge of AWS and Web APIs is a plus - Good communication and team coordination skills - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering
