Associate - Payroll and Compliance

Role Overview Zeta is a next-generation banking technology company powering cloud-native core banking and card processing platforms used by financial institutions across 7 countries. We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Associate to manage end-to-end payroll processing for our India and US employee base. In this role, you will ensure payroll accuracy, statutory compliance, and timely disbursement while working closely with vendors and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities - Handle all payroll-related operations with a focus on accuracy and timeliness for monthly payroll cycles - Coordinate with payroll vendors for salary processing, flexi pay management, and report generation - Collate all payroll inputs including new joiner data, attendance records, bonuses, one-time payments, salary revisions, and full-and-final settlements - Verify and reconcile monthly payroll data in coordination with the in-house payroll representative - Ensure statutory dues such as TDS, PF, PT, and ESI are calculated correctly and remitted on time - Maintain and update the CTC master tracker with all salary changes and effective dates - Track future payouts and validate accrual amounts to ensure financial accuracy Required Qualifications - Any graduate degree from a recognised institution - 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in payroll administration and compliance covering India and international payroll - Proven hands-on experience with payroll software or HRIS platforms such as DarwinBox, Excelity, Allsec, or Ascent - Strong working knowledge of payroll regulations, statutory compliance, and multi-location tax requirements - Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, for data management and reconciliation - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong analytical and organisational abilities Why Join Us Zeta is a Great Place to Work-certified organisation backed by SoftBank Vision Fund and Mastercard, offering a collaborative and inclusive culture where your work directly impacts millions of banking users globally. - 2 to 4 years of experience in payroll and compliance roles - Knowledge of Indian statutory requirements including TDS, PF, PT, and ESI - Experience with HRIS or payroll platforms such as DarwinBox, Excelity, Allsec, or Ascent - Strong Excel and MS Office skills - Understanding of multi-location and multi-country payroll processing - High attention to detail and strong numerical aptitude - Good verbal and written communication skills - Any graduate degree
