Associate Architect - Migration

Role Overview Presidio is a global technology leader specialising in digital transformation, cloud solutions, and next-generation AI. As an Associate Architect in the Cloud Migration team, you will own end-to-end migration architecture for complex, multi-workload client engagements, working across the full lifecycle from pre-sales discovery through post-migration validation. This is a client-facing technical role that demands equal comfort at an engineering whiteboard and in executive conversations. Key Responsibilities - Design, lead, and execute cloud migration waves covering server, database, and application workloads from kick-off through cutover and hypercare - Apply 7R migration strategies and hands-on tooling including AWS MGN, DMS, SCT, Migration Hub, and Application Discovery Service - Build and maintain detailed wave plans, cutover runbooks, rollback procedures, and go/no-go checklists - Design cloud target-state architectures, landing zones, and multi-account governance frameworks using AWS Control Tower - Automate post-migration infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation - Set up or integrate CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps - Conduct client discovery workshops, application questionnaire sessions, and dependency mapping exercises - Prepare and deliver HLDs, LLDs, and migration roadmaps to both technical teams and business stakeholders - Implement post-migration monitoring using CloudWatch and observability dashboards - Mentor junior engineers on AWS best practices, migration tools, and automation techniques - Contribute to internal accelerators, runbooks, and reusable delivery assets Required Qualifications - Proven hands-on experience designing and executing cloud migration projects across Mobilize, Migrate, and Modernize phases - Strong AWS skills across VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, Load Balancers, Auto Scaling, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, and VPN - Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for migration automation - Experience with AWS Well-Architected Framework and cloud security best practices including encryption, IAM least privilege, Security Hub, and GuardDuty - Hands-on experience with third-party migration tools such as ModelizeIT, CloudEndure, Carbonite Migrate, or Zerto - AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) or any AWS Professional or Specialty certification is mandatory - Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to manage client stakeholder relationships Why Join Us At Presidio, you will be part of a forward-thinking team shaping the future of cloud, AI, cybersecurity, and digital transformation for clients across the globe.
