Associate and Technical Lead Software Development

Role Overview KLA is a global leader in semiconductor process control and electronics manufacturing solutions, powering virtually every electronic device produced worldwide. The RAPID Division at KLA is the world-leading provider of reticle inspection solutions for semiconductor fabs and mask shops, and is now seeking a highly motivated software development professional with deep expertise in C++ programming and data analysis to join their Chennai team. Key Responsibilities - Design and develop inspection software and data analytics solutions for advanced mask inspection systems - Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams including electrical, mechanical, optical, and algorithm engineers to define and implement system requirements - Optimize and maintain existing codebases to ensure high performance, scalability, and long-term reliability - Provide technical support during beta-site ramp-up phases and handle escalations from customer sites - Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to address complex system-level challenges and drive solutions from concept to deployment Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with at least 3 years of experience - Proven hands-on experience in C++ programming, object-oriented design, and established design patterns - Strong background in data analysis including statistical summaries and predictive modeling - Proficiency in Linux-based development environments - Familiarity with frontend development frameworks such as Qt, Electron, or Gtk - Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker or Singularity - Experience with AI and ML frameworks and large-dataset model development is a strong plus - Strong leadership qualities, effective communication skills, and a collaborative mindset Why Join Us KLA invests over 15 percent of annual sales back into research and development, offering engineers an environment where they tackle truly challenging problems at the frontier of semiconductor technology.
