Job Description

Role Overview CohnReznick Professional Services is expanding its India operations and is looking for a skilled Assistant Manager to join the Tax practice within the Financial Services Group in Chennai. This is a hybrid role where you will support the US Tax team, primarily focusing on the review and preparation of US Federal and State income tax returns for partnerships. You will serve as a key liaison between the India team and US offices while mentoring and developing junior team members. Key Responsibilities - Review US Federal Income tax returns for Partnerships within the Financial Services Group - Review US State income tax returns with accuracy and compliance - Audit trial balance reviews and evaluation of tax work papers - Research complex tax issues and share findings and knowledge with the broader team - Train and develop India team members to strengthen their technical capabilities - Act as the primary liaison between US offices and the India-based team - Manage multiple client engagements, projects, and office deliverables simultaneously - Proactively identify and resolve potential tax issues, escalating to US counterparts when required - Collaborate closely with senior management and flag challenges or constraints in a timely manner - Travel overseas when required to support business needs Required Qualifications - Bachelor or Master degree in Accounting or an equivalent field - Minimum 6 to 10 years of hands-on experience in US Taxation - Proficiency in US tax software including GoSystem, ProSystem, CCH Access, and MS Office - Strong understanding of US tax concepts and generally accepted accounting principles - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment - Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and resourceful approach - Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks efficiently Why Join Us CohnReznick offers a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes generous paid time off, flexible work arrangements, expanded parental leave, and extensive learning and development programmes. Requirements

- 6 to 10 years of US Taxation experience - Bachelor or Master degree in Accounting or equivalent - Hands-on experience with GoSystem, ProSystem, or CCH Access - Strong knowledge of US Federal and State tax return preparation and review - Understanding of tax concepts and accounting principles - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously - Willingness to travel overseas as per business requirements - Proactive problem-solving and independent thinking ability
