Assistant Manager - ServiceNow Automation Lead

Role Overview BNP Paribas India Solutions is looking for a skilled and driven ServiceNow Automation Lead to join its ITG (IT Group) function based in Chennai. This mid-senior role sits within a globally connected team and involves close collaboration with ServiceNow Platform Managers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and the ServiceNow Architect in Paris. The ideal candidate will take ownership of automation and development missions while leading and mentoring a team of ServiceNow professionals across ISPL and Paris. Key Responsibilities - Lead technical delivery of ServiceNow solutions including ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CSM, and Scoped Applications - Mentor team members, conduct code reviews, and champion continuous improvement and innovation - Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to gather requirements and define scope - Translate functional specifications into technical designs including Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, and UI Actions - Estimate effort, plan sprints, and track delivery against roadmap milestones in an Agile environment - Automate testing using ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF) - Provide production support, perform root-cause analysis, and implement timely fixes - Ensure all solutions comply with security, data privacy, and regulatory standards - Stay current with new ServiceNow releases and evaluate their applicability to business needs - Optimize platform performance through indexing, query tuning, and asynchronous processing Required Qualifications - Bachelor degree or equivalent in a computer-related field - Minimum 3 years of experience leading a ServiceNow development team - Deep knowledge of ServiceNow core modules, Service Portal, Flow Designer, and Integration Hub - Proficiency in JavaScript (client-side and server-side), Glide APIs, HTML, CSS, and AngularJS - Experience with REST, SOAP, LDAP, SAML, OAuth, MID Server, and web-service authentication - Certified ServiceNow Administrator certification is mandatory - ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification is preferred - ITIL V3 or V4 Foundation Certification is preferred - Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills Why Join Us BNP Paribas is the European Union's leading bank with operations in 65 countries and a workforce of nearly 185,000 employees worldwide.
