We are currently seeking an experienced Area Sales Professional to join our Core Lab Business Vertical Sales team in Chennai. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and achieve assigned sales targets, profit objectives, and customer loyalty benchmarks within the designated territory
- Secure cross-functional support from different business verticals and departments to ensure seamless sales operations
- Contribute to strategic sales planning by providing accurate sales data, forecasts, and actionable recommendations
- Prepare annual territory budgets, schedule expenditures, analyze variances, and initiate corrective measures when needed
- Maintain and grow an existing customer base while proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
- Ensure timely collection of receivables from all sales transactions within the territory
- Update and manage the CRM tool regularly for accurate pipeline forecasting and planning
- Analyze local market conditions, build a strong stakeholder network, and develop competitive strategies
- Prepare, coordinate, and negotiate sales proposals in collaboration with proposal management teams and senior leadership
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science from a recognized institution
- 5 to 10 years of proven sales experience, preferably in medical technology or laboratory solutions
- MBA degree is preferred and will be considered an added advantage
- Strong strategic orientation with the ability to handle competition effectively
- Excellent interpersonal skills for maintaining key customer relationships
- Proficiency in CRM tools and sales reporting processes

Requirements
- Engineering or Science graduate with 5 to 10 years of sales experience
- MBA degree preferred
- Experience in medical technology or laboratory diagnostics sales is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of CRM tools and sales forecasting
- Excellent negotiation and proposal management skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a matrix organization
- Strong strategic thinking and competitive market analysis skills
- Proven track record in territory sales management and budget planning
