Applications Support Tech Lead Analyst - Vice President

Role Overview Citi is seeking a seasoned Applications Support Tech Lead Analyst at the Vice President level to join its Data Solutions Production Management team in Chennai. This is a strategic technical leadership role where you will be a recognized authority in enterprise application support, driving innovation, reliability, and operational excellence across critical banking platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional technology teams, influence directional strategy, and play a pivotal role in safeguarding the availability and performance of Citi's data solutions. Key Responsibilities - Partner with multiple technology teams to ensure seamless integration of functions and identify necessary system enhancements for complex enterprise applications - Lead incident response, post-mortems, and SRE practices including advanced monitoring, alerting, and automation to drive system reliability and operational efficiency - Define and document system scope and objectives for high-impact application enhancements through in-depth analysis of complex business processes and industry standards - Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Systems Analysts to determine systems impacts and support requirements - Identify risks, vulnerabilities, and security issues, communicate their impact, and propose effective risk mitigation strategies - Act as a mentor and advisor to junior analysts, allocate work appropriately, and foster a culture of continuous improvement - Assess business decisions for compliance and risk considerations, ensuring adherence to Citi policies and applicable regulations Required Qualifications - 10 or more years of hands-on experience in production support managing enterprise-level applications - Strong expertise in Unix/Linux environments and advanced shell scripting - Proficiency with enterprise monitoring and logging tools such as ITRS Geneos, AppDynamics, Splunk, and ELK - Practical experience with containerization platforms including OpenShift and Kubernetes - Hands-on knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, MSSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB) - Solid understanding of messaging solutions such as Tibco EMS, MQ, and Kafka, along with experience working with REST APIs - Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and tools, and their practical application in optimizing production systems - Excellent communication and diplomacy skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders Why Join Us Citi offers a dynamic, inclusive, and globally connected work environment where ambitious professionals can build meaningful careers with access to world-class technology, continuous learning opportunities, and clear paths for growth.
