Job Description

Role Overview BNP Paribas India Solutions is looking for an Application Support Associate to join the CIB INDUS ISPL COE Invoice Processing and P2P team in Chennai. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for users facing issues with business applications, ensuring accurate incident logging, timely troubleshooting, and seamless escalation when required. You will also be responsible for managing and uploading approval matrices into enterprise workflow systems to support accurate decision-making hierarchies across departments. Key Responsibilities - Respond to user support requests received via phone, email, or ticketing platforms and ensure timely resolution - Log and prioritise incidents accurately in the incident management system with appropriate severity levels - Perform basic troubleshooting covering password resets, login and access issues, configuration errors, and minor performance problems - Monitor application health using designated tools and report any anomalies to the relevant teams - Escalate unresolved or complex issues to Level 2 or Level 3 support teams with proper documentation - Create, update, and validate approval matrices based on organisational policies and inputs from stakeholders - Upload and maintain approval matrices in workflow automation platforms such as SAP, Oracle, ServiceNow, or custom ERP systems - Coordinate with finance, procurement, HR, and department heads to gather and align approval rules - Conduct test runs to verify matrix functionality and resolve any upload-related issues - Maintain comprehensive records of incidents, resolutions, and known errors for knowledge base management Required Qualifications - Diploma or bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field - Minimum 3 years of experience in technical support or helpdesk roles - Familiarity with diagnostic tools, log analysis, and debugging techniques - Hands-on experience with ticketing systems and support documentation tools - Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills - Ability to manage multiple support requests simultaneously under pressure - Willingness to learn new applications and functional domains quickly Why Join Us BNP Paribas India Solutions offers a dynamic, inclusive, and globally connected work environment where over 10,000 professionals drive innovation across banking and financial services. Requirements

- 3 to 6 years of experience in application support or helpdesk roles - Proficiency with ticketing and incident management systems - Experience with enterprise platforms such as SAP, Oracle, ServiceNow, or ERP systems - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English - Ability to manage approval matrices and workflow automation tools - Familiarity with log analysis and basic debugging techniques - Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT or Computer Science - Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
