Analyst - Data Science

Role Overview Saint-Gobain Group in India is seeking a curious and driven entry-level Data Science Analyst to join its growing Data and AI team in Chennai. This is a hands-on role designed for fresh graduates or early-career professionals who are passionate about artificial intelligence, machine learning, and agentic systems. You will work directly on real-world data problems, build intelligent workflows, and contribute to AI-driven business solutions from day one. Key Responsibilities - Collect, clean, and transform structured and unstructured data to support analysis and model training workflows - Build, fine-tune, and evaluate machine learning models including classification, regression, clustering, and NLP using Python - Develop and test agentic AI workflows using modern LLM APIs such as Claude, GPT-4o, and Gemini with tool use, memory, and planning capabilities - Integrate AI agents with external tools including search engines, databases, and APIs using MCP or function calling approaches - Design and maintain Power BI dashboards, visualisations, and reports to communicate data insights clearly to business stakeholders - Evaluate and benchmark LLM outputs and implement prompt engineering strategies and RAG pipelines - Assist in deploying machine learning models and agentic applications to Azure cloud or on-premise environments - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into effective AI-driven solutions Required Qualifications - M.E or M.Tech degree in a multi-disciplinary engineering domain with a focus on Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, or a related field - Proficiency in Python for data processing and machine learning development - Familiarity with LLM tooling, prompt engineering, and agentic workflow frameworks - Relevant certifications such as Azure Data Analytics, ML Specialty, or DeepLearning.AI are considered a strong advantage - A GitHub portfolio showcasing hands-on projects is strongly preferred Why Join Us Saint-Gobain is a globally recognised leader with a strong presence in India, offering early-career professionals a rare opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI and data science challenges in a collaborative and innovative environment.
